This week, Challenge 2 is called Heads and Feet. But it is not what you think. If you use Facebook, Msn, and Twitter or search things online, buy books or anything off the Internet you have started a digital dossier. That means you have left a footprint. It is like stepping in something and you leave a footprint the shape of your foot. But there are a lot of people that could add to your footprint. Did you know that? If you have pictures of when you were a baby and your parents post them on the internet and if you keep visiting these sites, you have added to your digital dossier. So by the time you are 20 years old you could have a footprint the size of a mountain! Well maybe not but it would be pretty big. So if you ever want to keep yourself a secret then you should think twice about what you put online. This is what happened when I googled my name, I found over 19 pages with my name. It said I was on Facebook but it also says I am on Myspace and Twitter but I am not. What happend when you searched yourself on the Internet? Leave a comment saying what you found out and how many people with the same name as you came up!

I am writing a post about this week’s blogging challenge. It is called the Who Are You challenge. The blogging challenge lasts for 10 weeks and it is run by Mrs. W. There is a new challenge each week. It can help you with your writing. It also makes blogging a whole lot more fun. If you want to make an avatar for your blog follow these links:
You can use any of these avatar sites and you will be able to make an avatar for your blog! I already have one. Do you want me to show you? Okay you don’t have to ask me twice. Do you like it? You will be able to make one kind of like mine which was done with The Hero Factory. It is really fun, but you don’t get to make the superhero names.
Hey blogging world. Do any of you like Lego? Well if you do, then you may or may not love building things. Perhaps you will become a contractor or do community service and build houses for the homeless, but not out of Lego. If you do become a contractor, then you will need all of these things: Wood, Nails, Windows, Shingles, Metal, Dry wall, Curtains, Heaters, Fans, Lights, Door hinges, Doors, Door handles, Tools, Screws and flooring. The most important piece is the Foundation! Because if you don’t have a foundation, then it will be a really flimsy house! Bye for now
Do you know who Jackson Pollock is? Well if you don’t he was an artist. He was known as Jack The Dripper because he would not paint a portrait of yourself he would splatter a bunch of paint on to a canvas. He would not have the canvas on the wall or an easel instead he would put it on the ground! Jackson pollock’s parents were blessed when their little Jackson was born on January, 28,1912. Did you know that Jackson Pollock’s parents’ names were Stella May McClure, and Leroy Pollock. Jackson also has four brothers and only one is identified, his name was Charles Pollock. Jackson pollock’s first name is Paul. Jackson also had a wife named Lee Kasner. His art became famous and was pretty well known in 1938, but his drip-paintings became famous in 1947. The most sad part of a artist and their art lovers life is when the artist dies. Jackson Pollock died in 1956.
The seven elements of art are Texture – Is what you feel in your everyday life, Line – You see lines everyday and in everything you do, Space – Is something you live with and you see and you use everyday in your life, Value – Is something that you see when you buy things, Shape – Is what you learn everyday of your life, Colour – colour is what you see all the time, And Form – Is the shape and structure of an object.
Jackson Pollock died on August, 11 1956. The same year as the Melbourne Olympics!
Do you have facebook, twitter, or msn? Well if you do then you should know or learn about Internet Safety! If you don’t know what Internet Savvy is then this is the post for you. Being Internet savvy is NOT giving out your personal information, It is NOT going onto one site and saying on a video where you live, what your full name is, where you come from, what school you go to, when your birthday is. Those are almost all the hazards of NOT being Internet Savvy!
Internet Savvy is when you change your privacy settings on Facebook or MSN or Twitter or any other sites you have from OPEN to world to ONLY friends can see your wall. If you go play games and allow them access to your wall without reading what their terms are, Then you have made a little mistake. If you have no privacy for facebook, twitter, or msn then you don’t know who has all of your information. Never add anyone you don’t know! That is also another way to get stalked or have your name and your picture all over the internet. People you don’t know can also steal your identity. Witch means they will have access to all of your personal information, And that’s not good! They might try to be you and try to make other people think they are you.
I don’t like Pink but you don’t have to. Just because I hate PINK it doesn’t mean I make fun of someone wearing it. Neither should you. If you ever make fun of someone wearing pink that would be bullying.
The reason the whole Pink Shirt Day was created was because in 2007 there was this boy from Nova Scotia who wore a PINK shirt to school one day and got bullied by other students. This boy probably walked home that day feeling alone and like no one was his friend.
His parents might have asked him why he was so blue, but he probably just said, “I don’t want to talk about it”.
The next day when this boy went to school he saw something outstanding. Some grade 12′s had heard about the bullying and they said enough is enough. The night before, they told all of their friends to wear a pink shirt by phoning them, using email, and putting it on facebook. When the boy arrived at school almost the whole school was wearing a pink shirt!
There are 3 positions for bullying and they are…
The bully
The bystander
And the victim
The message I am trying to send is not to bully!
My thoughts about bullying would have to be, If you were to see anyone getting bullied you should go stand right in the middle and say to everyone ” You all should put yourself in their shoes!” and to not bully other people if you don’t know what their feelings might be.
My commitment is to not be the bully, To stop any bullying that I see around the school, And to not be a bystander
Who could imagine Rudolph might have a really bad secret? I think that he might have a secret because lately I’ve heard around town that he has been acting a little weird. Has anyone wondered what it is? I have! I think he is hiding something from us. Do you think it could it be any of these?
That’s not his real nose
None of the reindeer actually like him
Santa is using a different reindeer this year and he’s upset
He is evil
His nose is a laser that he can’t control
This picture says it all
My conclusion, everything is……….
FINE!!! Yeah. Christmas is okay angain :)

Recently my class has been learning about angles. Like…
Obtuse Angle
Reflex Angle
Acute Angle
Complementary Angle
Supplementary Angle
Right Angle
Straight Angle
Those are all the angles we learned! To learn all these angles we practiced on math sheets. We also had to name the angles and the degrees without using a protractor! That’s called estimation. We also played this game called alien angles. Do you know any more angles? We even went outside with digital camaras! The reflex angle, the right angle, and the straight angle were really easy to find, but it was a lot of work to find an acute angle and an obtuse angle. If and only if you look really hard you can find any angle you want!
We have also worked on rotations and some of these are …
720° is 2 full spins
360° is one whole spin
180° is a half spin
90° is a 1/4 of a spin
“Rotation” means turning around a center.
The Distance from the center to any point stays the same. Every point makes a Circle around the center. If you think of any rotation as propeller blades (like on a boat or a plane) it makes it a lot easier. I know it helped me figure pretty much everything out.
I liked learning about angles and rotations more than any other math. What’s your favourite type of math?
Wow can you believe it’s almost Christmas!? It’s my favourite holiday! I can’t wait for Santa to come. How are you spending your Christmas? I am going to be at home for Christmas. And we might go to the mountain. Whats your favourite parts about Christmas? Mine is the turkey diner!turkey and chicken are my 2 favourite types of meat! What are your favourite types of meat? And the presents! But my all time favourite part is that I get 3 turkey diners! isn’t that awesome! I love Christmas because it sometimes can bring miracles but my miracles are all of the Presents, Turkey, Spending time with Family, Well… Everything!!
